We develop technology skills for hiring needs

Mission: Since the launch of our FinTech Immersive program, the first of its type in the world, we strive to bridge the gap between “business” and technology in order to boost, launch or change your career.

Who: Career changers, recent grads, complete beginners and those with some programming experience.

What: Project-based technology curriculum focused on the Python programming language along with instruction in JavaScript and front-languages.  There the option to choose an industry focus such as finance (“FinTech”).  Career services and placement during and after the program.

Structure: Three phases over 14 weeks (full-time) or 24 week (part-time). There also is “Phase 0” pre-work that students take before Day 1. For more advanced programmers, there is the option to “jump” Phase 1 and/or take phases a la carte. Students must pass an assessment in order to advance from one level to the next.  For workshops and preparation programs please see our listing here.

Since individuals learn at different paces, the option to repeat a phase is included in tuition

  • Data Science

Data Scientists are the highest paid engineers

Data Science, sometimes known as “big data,” is a rapidly growing highly lucrative field. Companies in all industries have immense amounts of data but need specialists to analyze the data in order to make proper business decisions. A data scientist cleans, organizes and analyzes data using tools such as distributed computing, predictive modeling, machine learning, statistics, math and visualization. The Python coding language, core to our curriculum, is used heavily in the data sciences due to its analytical capability.

    • As the highest paid engineers, data scientist salaries average $128,549 (US)*
    • It is estimated that there will be 240 exabytes daily by 2020

A data science background is useful for other roles including: data analyst, data engineer, data architect, data and analytics manager, and statistician.

    Full-Time: 14 weeks, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

    Part-Time: 24 weeks, 2 evenings/week, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

  • Quant Algo

“The scarce resource in quantitive investing is talent”

    —  Matthew Granade,  Point72 Ventures

Called the “Rocket Scientists of Wall Street” by Investopedia, Quants are in high demand but difficult to find – our course sets out to change this.

Assets under management by Quant traders have been rising with the number now approaching $350 billion.  Last year billionaire Steve Cohen’s Point72 committed as much as $250 million to be managed by Quantopian, an online platform where members build computerized trading models and earn a share of profit.  Among other items, he was attracted to the innovative way Quantopian harbors quant talent.  Our course, also, will develop these sought-after quant skills.

A fantastic program with dedicated and knowledgeable instructors which focuses on an industry (finance and banking) that is ripe for change. It is tough but you will learn a lot.
