Gain a jumpstart on our upcoming Getting Git: Intro To Git and GitHub workshop
In this optional session, the teacher Data Scientist/Statistician Reshama Shaikh will help you with the pre-workshop preparation and installations so that you can hit the ground running at her Getting Git introductory workshop on Wednesday two days later. You can ask any questions prior to the workshop using this ONLINE FORM.
After an introduction information which includes an overview of GitHub and its significance, she’ll help with both required and optional installations below:
- Part 1: Software Installations (Required)
- Part 2: SSH Keys (Optional)
- Part 3: Setup (Required)
- Part 4: Questionnaire (Required)
After prep work has been completed, it is requested that you fill out this quick questionnaire on GitHub. You may do this independently or after the workshop.

About The Instructor
Reshama is a freelance data scientist/statistician with skills in Python, R and SAS. She worked for over 10 years as a biostatistician in the pharmaceutical industry. She is also an organizer of the meetups group NYC Women in Machine Learning & Data Science and PyLadies. She earned her M.S. in statistics from Rutgers University and her M.B.A. from NYU Stern School of Business.
